Sometimes, I know what I need to have on a page story wise, but I have no joke to go with it. It can be very frustrating to try and come up with something interesting for a really mundane scene. In a TV show, a lot of dialogue can be crammed together with one joke, but stretching these interactions out over a three panel strip makes for a lot of space to fill. If I ever do another comic, it will not be funny.

Heh. Choose your words more carefully, lady. PS, what is May's secret to looking so... youthful? Is she a young grandma or does she use beauty techniques?

Both? Now I'm worried I'm not drawing her old enough :)

Sorry. I actually meant it as a compliment.

Please, I'm not offended. I do struggle with how old Bruno and Mae actually are. I think Mae is probably younger than Bruno, but not like a crazy amount. I was aiming for generally in their 60's. I've seen though, a wide range of looks in that age group. For instance my dad looks way older than my father-in-law, even though my dad is younger.

I have seen the same phenomena in my own family.

After certain drawings earlier in the year... I am... not... going to provide further comment on Mae's looks.

(Lest Bruno shoot me in the face.)

Ah yeah. It is suppose to be fictional or educational or whatever. Not a manual. I guess that can be said about many different books, haha.
Oh but it most certainly can work the OTHER way around and develop mindsets necessary to mind what is written.
I do not know what that grin suggests though ;D

I think under different circumstances (or maybe even under these?), Mae and Heather might get along just fine. :D

Good! I'd hate for you to feel like this story isn't going anywhere ;)
