Whoops! Now that the kids have seen his face, the kidnappers have to kill them.

Kidnapping, it's just not as easy as it sounds.

Prof, if Travis's work was half as horrifying as that LIR trash I wouldn't be subscribed.

I'd feel the same if it was half as weird as that AB nonsense. :P

(Sorry Travis. We seem to have hijacked your comment section...)

It's all good, and things are gonna get a little weirder before this one's over.

"My Dad said he was going to sell me to the Gypsies if I didn't behave..." some parental threats cross continents!

this one was from my childhood, but it was said in the most loving of ways :)

Nope, my parents definitely weren't in a loving frame of mind when they used a very similar line. Obviously I must have been a real pain to them at the time, they blew straight past the "You'll get no toys for Xmas" level without stopping!

The guy seems nice like this.
I doubt this is just some random ransom. Someone probably bought those guys.

People here say much more offensive things towards Roma :/

yeah, this adventure is really bringing out my tendency to overcomplicate a story. I'll try to reign it back in on the next one. The chase has been on and there hasn't been much time to reflect on the who and why, but we're getting there.

Travis, this is another one of those posts where I heap some well-deserved praise on you. You have a juggling act here that's fun to watch just for the technical expertise involved.

You have a simple plot, good humour, and characters that appear to be stereotypes at first glance, a rigid format, and yet, you manage to keep all the balls in the air and moving.

Even strips like this one that have no punchline are still funny. You write kids as kids, not as small adults, but you still let them bring the funny without making them smart asses (which is the easy way out). While you occasionally have jokes fall flat, your success record is actually above average compared to my local newspaper's comic page.

The only thing keeping your comic from being huge at the moment is the small archive, but now that you have passed the 50 mark, I am going to be expecting more success for you.

Eagle
(I've recommended it to people)

wow, Thank you Eagle! I have started to enjoy people taking more than one night to read everything I've created thus far. The jokes are the hardest part! I know Gag comics get some grief for being easy sometimes, but the only thing easy is doing it wrong. Sometimes I just can't find the funny to fit the situation, but I'm happy to get a laugh where I can. I'm hoping to build on some running gags a little, and set up a few laughs across strips, but that comes with time.

A likeable kidnapper? Got a feeling the kids will expose that.
